Data-Driven Decision Making

Developed in collaboration with Montgomery County Public Schools, DDDM is a series of six, hour-long multi-media modules outlining exemplary practices for data driven decision making in schools.

DDDM features online learning, video-modeling and interactive lessons – providing an engaging and informative experience for educators and administrators.

Module titles include:

  1. Introduction to DDDM
  2. Collecting Data
  3. Analyzing the Data: Working with Findings
  4. Analyzing the Data: Identifying Root Causes
  5. Developing an Action Plan
  6. Monitoring Continuous Improvement

DDDM Features include:

  • Video-based exemplary-practices of experienced teachers and administrators
  • Proven, research-based processes to develop a team-based, collaborative approach to DDDM.
  • Tools and examples of exemplary-practices to help collect, organize and understand key data types
  • Step-by-step development of action plans that can be shared, supported, and implemented
  • Processes to monitor, evaluate and adjust programs to ensure success throughout the lifetime of the DDDM cycle
  • Web-based activities and resources to reinforce each phase of the process

DDDM takes you through the Data-Driven Decision Making Cycle - an ongoing process that helps teachers and schools ask good questions about student results, find the data and information that can help answer these questions, analyze and organize the data to find the root causes of school issues, and implement action plans that remediate these causes and follow up to make sure the actions taken are affecting change and raising student achievement.
